Made With Love & Care In Rural Australia
Greetings from rural Australia,
Made with love and care in rural Australia by men and women who have a disability. And a fundraising program to help you help others with every purchase, if you’re so inclined.
That’s my company mantra. Design and make great products in a way that helps others. And always put something back into the community.
My humble, low tech products are simple solutions to difficult problems. And are appreciated by the public.
I love what I do and I’d love to be able to help you with one of the world’s most hated and irritating chores.
But a necessary chore if you have a high profile and are in the spotlight. Or you’re presenting to others in business. Or meeting members of the public on behalf of your organisation. Or must be well groomed at your place of business. Or you’re simply one of those delightful men and women who just want to look gorgeous all the time!
Even if you don’t personally do this chore, someone does it for you. A need is a need. Even if it might be once removed!
This post is to point you to a link to click for my signature product. It’s for anybody in your personal life or your organisation who struggles to find a good ironing board cover.
Yes! I know! I should be ashamed of myself for mentioning the ‘ironing’ word because it’s hard work. And to be avoided at all costs.
But this is a special cover designed by an architect for his mum that removes the words hard and work from your ironing vocabulary. Because it never budges on your board. Ever.
Online is now where all good covers are found. Retail stores have abandoned people who want to iron on premium covers that never move.
The Fitz Like A Glove™ Ironing Board Cover started out as a gift for a mother, but is now a thriving rural business. Made in the Central Tablelands of NSW by men and women who have a disability, the love and care they put into their workmanship has wowed all of the 300,000 men and women around the world who iron on the Fitz Like A Glove™ Cover.
Advice to me from these appreciative customers is that everyone who wants/needs/loves to look gorgeous by wearing beautifully pressed clothes needs a good ironing board cover that always ‘Fitz Like A Glove™’. And I shouldn’t be shy in getting the word out that there is an alternative to supermarket covers.
I was part of a feature on A Current Affair in January 2012. Bill purchased a cover and sent me this email.

Carol, I was watching A Current Affair this evening & even if I do work for Coles Supermarkets, I agree wholeheartedly with you about ironing board covers.
I have the nose end of the present cover tied in a knot to keep it tight & always dread replacing it with a new one.
I love your fixing system. So also having worked in manchester & drapery depts many years back I know what you mean about cotton drill fabric.
Well done, great to see an Australian company making great products. Have a marvellous weekend, way down there. Cheers, Bill

Close to half of my new customers are MEN who iron. Of all ages. From 20 to 85.
